How the building was named
Previously the Number 2 Boiler House, which had been recommissioned as offices for the staff of the Buildings and Grounds Division. Named in 1988 in recognition of the long service of Mr A.J.R. (John) Yencken — as a member of Council from 1966 to 1983, as Chairman of the Buildings and Grounds Committee from 1966 to 1988 and as foundation Chairman of ANUTECH Pty Ltd from 1979 to 1991. |
